Mountain Modern to Old World Elegance: Our Custom Home Holiday Cards Through the Years
For over a decade, creating our annual holiday card has become one of our favorite traditions at LGA Studios. Each year, we select a custom home we've had the privilege of designing, transform it into a cozy winter rendering, and share it with our clients, partners, and friends throughout Colorado Springs and beyond.
This year, as we look back at our holiday card collection, we're reminded of the incredible architectural diversity that defines our work. From sleek Contemporary Minimalist designs with clean lines and expansive glass to the warmth of Old World European elegance, from rugged Mountain Modern retreats to refined Modern Prairie homes and sophisticated Transitional styles — each rendering tells the story of a client's unique vision brought to life.
What makes these holiday cards special isn't just the festive snow we digitally dust across the rooflines and landscapes. It's the journey each home represents. These designs all started as conversations around our conference table, evolved through conceptual sketches and design development, took shape in our 3D software using Revit, and ultimately became photorealistic renderings that allowed our clients to truly see and feel their future home before a single shovel ever hit the ground.
Our visualization services remain one of the most powerful tools we offer. Being able to walk through a virtual space, understand how natural light will move through your great room, or see exactly how your home will sit on its hillside lot creates a level of confidence that 2D floor plans simply can't match. It transforms the design process from abstract to tangible.
This year's featured star is particularly close to our hearts: Élan at Mountain Veil, our award-winning 2025 Parade of Homes entry in Monument's Grandwood Ranch. This 6,666-square-foot mountain modern masterpiece, built by Murphy's Custom Homes, captures everything we love about Colorado living — from the grand pivot door that frames Pikes Peak through a five-foot see-through fireplace to the corner pocket doors that completely disappear into walls — this home seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living spaces. With three levels of thoughtfully designed space including a sky loft with observation deck, this home represents the pinnacle of what's possible when vision, design expertise, and exceptional craftsmanship come together.
As we head into 2025, we're filled with excitement for the homes still on our drawing boards and the clients we've yet to meet. Whether you're dreaming of a contemporary hillside retreat in Crystal Park, a luxury estate in the Broadmoor, or an innovative urban infill project downtown, we'd love to help bring your vision to life.
From all of us at LGA Studios, we wish you a wonderful holiday season filled with warmth, joy, and the comfort of home. Here's to the year ahead and all the dreams we'll design together.
